Building on Impact: Reach Digital Health’s Vision for 2025
With 2025 underway, we at Reach Digital Health are energised by the incredible momentum we built in 2024. Last year, our digital health solutions reached millions of individuals and health workers, creating measurable change in some of the most underserved communities across Africa. From scaling MomConnect — a maternal health programme with the ongoing support of the National Department of Health — to deepening partnerships with governments and NGOs, our work demonstrated that personalised, uninterrupted healthcare can be a reality for everyone, not just a chance few.
In 2024, we celebrated the 10th anniversary of MomConnect, a cornerstone of our impact that has empowered nearly 5 million mothers with crucial health information and support. Through MomConnect, we aim to connect an additional five million women across Africa to vital maternal and child health services over the next few years, further expanding the impact and reach of the programme. At the same time, our AI-powered Reach Precision Health Engine continued to deliver hyper-personalised health interventions, demonstrating how technology can revolutionise engagement and outcomes for both individuals and health systems.
Starting in 2025, we’re taking our work to the next level with the goal of reaching 50 million individuals and supporting 500,000 health workers across eight African countries over the next five years. We’ll scale our programmes by integrating mobile technologies like WhatsApp and SMS, ensuring access to healthcare support is just a message away. Alongside this, we’ll continue leading conversations on the transformative potential of responsible AI in health. Whether it’s publishing thought leadership pieces, sharing insights at events like the Skoll Forum, or releasing new white papers, we’re committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation to improve health outcomes.
The momentum we’ve built is a testament to what’s possible when technology meets human-centred design. With the foundation we laid in 2024, 2025 promises to be a year of scaling, learning, growth, and forging new partnerships to ensure our vision of equitable, quality healthcare for all becomes a reality. Together, we’re not just imagining the future of healthcare — we’re building it.
